Description of project and services rendered
On December 14th 1995, the Croatian Securities Commission was
established pursuant to the Law on Issuance and Sale of Securities. The
objective of this technical assistance is to assist the CROSEC in
harmonization of the Draft of the new Croatian Securities Law and the
Draft of amended Takeover Law with IOSCO Principles and European Union
Legislation for submission to the Government and Parliament
Scope of the Work
- to assist the CROSEC in harmonization of the Draft of the new
Croatian Securities Law with IOSCO Principles and European Union
Legislation for submission to the Government and Parliament.
- to assist the CROSEC in harmonization of the Draft of amended
Takeover Law with IOSCO Principles and European Union Legislation for
submission to the Government and Parliament.
Work Plan
- Getting familiar with existing legal regulation in the Republic
of Croatia concerning capital market.
- Reviewing of the Drafts of both, Securities Law and amended
Takeover Law.
- Drafting proposals in writing how to harmonize existing Drafts of
the Securities Law and amended Takeover Law with IOSCO Principles and
EU Legislation.
- After discussing proposals with commissioners, giving the Final
Version of both aforementioned Laws.
