Description of project and services rendered
The Government of the Republic of Yemen is implementing a
Civil Service Modernization Project (CSMP) the goals of which are:
- To restructure government institutions and agencies in order to
modernize the civil service;
- To streamline and rationalize the governmentýs
administrative and service delivery processes;
- To make the civil service more responsive to public needs;
- To turn the civil service into an efficient and effective
mechanism to develop and implement government policy.
Enhancing the professional expertise and performance of COCA
auditors is a critical component of the overall reform process. The
objective of this assignment is twofold:
- To transfer auditing skills to the appointed COCA personnel, and
at the same time,
- To provide them with training abilities in order to cascade down
the results of this training assignment
By assisting in the setting up of a basis for further
professional development, the assignment will contribute towards the
following outcome in the medium- and long-term perspective:
- COCA auditors manage and conduct audits efficiently and
effectively
- Efficient and effective audit practices are observed in all
missions carried out by COCA auditors
