Within the frame of the Management of the Economy Support Project
(Projet d'Appui a la Gestion de l'economie (PAGE)), the training
program in economic and financial management is aimed at strengthening
the competency of the "A" managers in charge of:
- the programming and follow up of the public investments, the
external resources coordination, the national accounting and statistics
within the Ministry of Plan, Economic Restructuring and Work Promotion
(MPERWP);
- the preparation, management and execution of the budgets, the
forecasts and finally, the establishment of procurement procedures and
modality within the Ministry of Finance (MF);
- the harmonization of the unique file of balance and state
personnel within the Ministry of Public Function, Work and
Administrative Reform (MPFWAR);
- Within the six sectarian ministries (Ministry of Rural
development) chosen to benefit from the PAGE interventions because of
their importance in the consumed public investment, the performance
improvement and the quality of work.
In the frame of this training program, P. A. Management
International (Canada) Inc's mandate was to give the training session
on the "practice of public management".
The objective of this session on the "practice of public
management" is to enable the participants to:
- Develop a common comprehension of the government's objectives in
the context of an evolution of the public administration;
- Define and establish new management practices in their
administrative environment.
